Pete Frickland, Principal

Pete Frickland solves complex product development challenges, delivering fast, cost-effective recommendations that enable his clients to manage large numbers of projects while making optimal use of existing resources. As an independent consultant, he specializes in product development process analysis and improvement projects, including interim management work, for small- to mid-size product-driven companies.

He has offices in Seattle and Salt Lake City.

Background

Before founding Concurrent Product Development in 2005, Pete spent 20 years with Cascade Designs in Seattle. There he served as the company’s product development manager, and later the director of product development. Pete went on to serve as acquisitions manager for Cascade Designs, leading acquisitions and divestitures, project portfolio planning, and financial modeling.

Pete is recognized for achievements including:

  • development of a wide range of profitable consumer and OEM products
  • evaluation and integration of strategic acquisitions
  • financial analysis, venture valuation, and product portfolio management
  • successful leadership of highly complex projects

Pete holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of California at Irvine and an MBA from Pepperdine University.

An outdoor recreation enthusiast, Pete enjoys mountaineering, climbing, hiking, telemark skiing, kayaking, mountain and road biking, and golf. Active in martial arts, he holds 2nd dan black belts in Karate and Hapkido. Pete is also an accomplished craftsman.

Pete is active in trade organizations for consultants, entrepreneurs, and product development professionals.
